Intellectually, I get it. Kerry Washington goes unexpected and doesn’t always default to ‘sexy’. If Lainey were here, she’d say she loves that this dress isn’t traditionally sexy/alluring. But she’s rehearsing so here’s my unbridled opinion -

This medium-long black dress is so matte that it looks like overdone officewear, chiffon accoutrements and all -  and I feel like the shoes don’t do anything to change that opinion. What gives with all the head to toe black? I needed some relief from this.
