Fargo got shut out at the Golden Globes, but it got some love from the wholly irrelevant Critics’ Choice Awards, where it won four awards, including Best TV Movie/Limited Series, and Best Actress in a TV Movie/Limited Series, for Kirsten Dunst. I’m not even a Kirsten Dunst fan, and I thought she was pretty goddamned brilliant on Fargo. (Jesse Plemons and Jean Smart also won awards, and this is the only group to nominate Bokeem Woodbine, who was OUTSTANDING.) Dunst showed up to collect her award, and wore a cool Lagerfeld dress that I really like. Not a huge fan of the shoes, but the dress is baller. She also gave a mercifully short acceptance speech. She seemed excited to win, but at the same time, I don’t think Kiki has any delusions about the importance of this award. It’s a really fancy doorstop.
