As a golf purist, not even I can’t pull out my Kristen Stewart fangirl membership card and get behind her cut-off shorts. But if you want to take the position that golf codes are archaic, the sh-t she’s wearing on her feet are still dumb...because we use spikes for a reason. The reason is that you need them to grip the grass when you’re swinging. The golf swing involves a hip pivot; your feet provide stability as you generate power and torque through your core (and NOT your arms). If your feet are all over the place, you’re not making the right contact and you’re sliding all over the ground when you’re hitting. It might take a few strokes off her game.
