A lot of you have been asking for a post about Kristen Stewart on the cover of Vogue February 2010. Stewart was shot for Vogue last year, and ended up being a single page feature instead of the front, bypassed in favour of Blake Lively, because Anna Wintour keeps trying to make that happen and Stewart wouldn’t talk hearts about her boyfriend.
Evidently they worked something out. In a strange month. It’s not like Stewart has anything to promote right now, and it would have made more sense to save her for the December issue (on newsstands in November when the next installment of the Twilight Saga will be released). I wonder if this was a compromise…
Anyway, she looks gorgeous on the cover. And I love the styling throughout. Even though Mario Testino is boring as f-ck, the Proenza Schouler wardrobe is a great choice for her. And her face is really, really beautiful. Except for that one shot (an outtake) where she’s seated and leaning forward. Because they messed with something there that looks f-cked up. And her mouth…
Now you know I’m very much into Kristen Stewart. The things that bother some of you – biting her lip, being awkward – don’t bother me. What bothers me right now is something that bothers me about her boyfriend Robert Pattinson. It’s a bit I’ve been doing for a while – the fact that he seems to be a mouth breather, can’t seem to close it for photographs.
Look at her.
Her mouth is open in every shot. First of all, this is why Mario Testino is boring. Second… she’s an actor. She responds to direction. At least she should be able to. Can we try a different expression?
If these are the outtakes, what did they put in the actual magazine? Please tell me…they have to be better. That face…that face is a lot better than what they gave her. And if you look at the video below, there are undoubtedly better images than these ones. Is this how Wintour is f-cking with her?
