Kristen Stewart’s mother gave an interview to UK Sunday Mirror (a tabloid, essentially) and talked all kinds of business about her daughter’s love life. When I wrote about this yesterday – click here for a refresher - I hoped that it wasn’t for real. Because it was embarrassing and gross the way Jules Stewart went kinda Kris Jenner Lohan, although she’s now saying that it didn’t go down like that.
Jules told US Weekly (which some would also consider a tabloid, we’ll come back to this in a minute) that Sharon Feinstein, the journalist who conducted the interview, made up half the quotes:
“I spoke to Sharon Feinstein about my film K-11 that has been put on display in the Hollywood Museum. It’s currently there under the LGBT banner on the third floor. She also asked me about my views on gay rights, which I was happy to express. Then we talked briefly about the fundraiser I am hosting for TheWolfConnection.org. Never ever did we discuss Kristen!”
Noting that she is a “huge supporter of gay rights,” Jules went on to acknowledge that she briefly spoke about Stewart’s personal assistant Alicia Cargile, whom The Mirror claimed is Stewart’s girlfriend.
“I said, ‘Yes, she’s a lovely girl,’” Jules said, when asked if she knew Cargile.
Feinstein however isn’t taking it. She shared on Twitter yesterday, after Jules’s denial, that she has the interview on tape and will be releasing the recordings today – click here to read her tweets. You think Kristen Stewart’s PR team is now trying to clean up her mother’s mess? Wouldn’t be surprised if Feinstein has already heard from Kristen’s publicists asking her to go away quietly. Going away quietly however never comes for free.
As for Jules Stewart…
Who went to US Weekly to offer clarification…
You’ll note, US Weekly was the first publication to exclusively acquire those photos back in 2012. You remember the photos? They broke the story of Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders. Click here for a refresher. Do we cherry-pick when the magazines are useful and not useful? Just like the paparazzi?
