Here’s Kristen Stewart in New York last night at a screening for On The Road with Garrett Hedlund and Walter Salles. I love this outfit a lot. And she looks like she might too because the way she’s working the camera in these photos, with some attitude and sass, you would think she’s probably very comfortable in this steeze. There’s a good challenge in her eye again too. Which has less to do with absolution than it does with resilience. Maybe it’s because Winona Ryder has been on my mind so much, seeing her here, still delicate and...defenseless...
Eventually in a business like theirs, it’s hard to survive. Winona, as we know, almost didn’t. And, well, I don’t know that anyone would say that that’s a sure thing right now either. We’ll get to Winona later. My point is that there are some similarities between the two, only in Stewart’s case, to her advantage, perhaps she’s showing she’s made of something harder.
