Blair escapes Chuck and runs to Paris. Serena goes with her. This will kick off the new season of Gossip Girl in the fall with two episodes devoted to the UES + France. Shopping and romance obviously ensue. And probably an 11th hour visit from the Bass himself. But thankfully no Little J. Because Little J has been banished and won’t be invited back until Sweeps when, hopefully, they’ll kill her off forever.

Here are Leighton Meester and Blake Lively shooting new scenes today with several outfit changes and a few cute boys and never a budget. It’s the perfect summer. And a rather productive one for the show’s two leads.

Blake has just come off shooting The Green Lantern in Louisiana with Ryan Reynolds and Leighton spent much of the last month in Europe working on Monte Carlo. Neither then has had much time for boys. And while Blake and Penn Badgley are still officially a couple, rumour has it her people are looking for an upgrade. She’ll do what she has to.
