As I mentioned yesterday in this post, a trip to space accompanied by Leonardo DiCaprio was auctioned off at the amfAR gala in Cannes last night for $1.5 million. Another prize involving Leo was available -- premiere tickets to The Wolf Of Wall Street, a luxury hotel stay, and Chopard watch, and invitations to Oscar parties -- and that went for $2.3 million. It’s a lot of money raised for a great cause. Well done.

As for who exactly paid that much money to see the universe with Leo and party with him during award season -- they’ve not revealed the identity of the mega rich people who wrote the cheque. But ...we have assumptions, don’t we? The third wife of a Euro billionaire? Or a 20 year old Victoria’s Secret model?

He would prefer the second option. It’s most likely the first option. Which is kind of amazing. That Leo, who is paranoid about privacy and having to interact with women over 25, is now obligated to spend that kind of time with people outside of his tight circle of trust. Hopefully there will be no “schedule change” then.

Here’s Leo at a party the other night surrounded by the usual.
