Hello, I am writing to get ideas for names to complete our family in a few weeks! My daughter, Samantha, was named after my big sister whose nickname was Sammy growing up even though it had nothing to do with her name (Tanya). While she will share the name with lots of babysitters and bosses, for the most part she is the only Samantha on the playground (except for boy Sams - don’t forget to check the name popularity lists for the opposite gender!). Full Article

I’m surprised by how much I love this dress, this whole look. The more I look at it, the more I love it. It’s so cute. It’s so pretty. It’s so unapologectically feminine. Also, here’s a way to use taffeta that actually works. Which is to limit it. Never full-body.  This dress is probably really comfortable too with the tank on top opening up to the skirt that’s constructed like it’s a flower. Full Article

Hi Duana!  I'm an avid follower of Laineygossip and your column, thank you for potentially reading this!  :) We just had our son 11 months ago now and we decided to name him River.  I basically had the name from the get go, but had a crisis around 7 months when I started to think I was crazy for ever suggesting it. Full Article

Hey Duana,  Husband and I are expecting our first and probably only kid this November, a girl. Very excited! We are both tree/plant people. He's a tree scientist and I'm a landscape designer, so we definitely want a plant/nature name, but I'm leaning away from the super-literal. Full Article

Sasha Finds: Hiking Boots

Once I got into my late 30s I developed old feet. You know old feet, right? If you’re too young to know, oh you just wait, because one day, all of a sudden your foot will reject anything that is uncomfortable. It’s like after years of concubine-ing them they just give up and wave the white flag. Full Article

As I’ve mentioned, I typically don’t include models in fashion posts – especially not at the Met Gala – because, well, it’s not that hard, you know? They can wear almost anything. Cara Delevingne could have worn anything. And that’s why she’s the Outfit of the Week. Full Article

Carpets & Candids: Katie’s great sweater, not the boots

Lainey Posted by Lainey at October 11, 2018 19:57:40 October 11, 2018 19:57:40

We work with a stylist, Maggie, on The Social. And my whole jam this fall is oversized sweaters. It’s not cold enough yet to wear them but at least once a week, I asked Maggie to find me some gorgeous sweaters to wear over brightly coloured tights to go with my new combat boots. No heels. Just flat, funky combat boots. Full Article

Evening Duana! (Not yet, sweet Letter Writer, but soon…) My dearest friend put me on to you one night when I was complaining on the phone to her about naming baby #3. Our little boy, who will have brother Griffin and sister Adair, is due in just a couple months. I'm really struggling for a name this time. Full Article
