During Madonna’s halftime performance at the Super Bowl on Sunday, MIA gave the finger to the camera and some people were offended. Then Madonna announced she’s going on tour. Now she’s having to answer questions about how she felt about MIA’s finger. This is what she told Ryan Seacrest this morning:

"I was really surprised. I didn’t know anything about it. I wasn’t happy about it. I understand it’s punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy, and positivity, it seemed negative. It’s such a teenager ... irrelevant thing to do ... there was such a feeling of love and unity there. What was the point? It was just out of place."

Really???

Madonna???

Understand this for a minute before you start huffing and puffing: this is not about YOU, and whether or not you think the finger belonged on the show. This is about whether or not Madonna - MADONNA of all people - can talk sh-t about another artist pulling a shock value move on national television. And criticising someone else for behaving like a “teenager”.

This Madonna is criticising someone else for behaving like a teenager?

You know, if she really meant it, it would be one thing. But think of who’s listening. And think of who can actually afford to go to her show. Or bankroll the people who want to go to her show. This is the sh-t those people want to hear.

I love Madonna, but God she is insufferable right now, non?
