Marion Cotillard will be at TIFF in support of Les Petits Mouchoirs (Little White Lies) directed by Guillaume Canet. The film is expected to be released in October, a dramedy about a group of friends on holiday and the drama that ensues when they realise they haven’t been completely honest. The trailer is below and stills from the movie are attached.
In support of the movie, Marion will cover the September issue of Vogue Paris. Vogue Paris is not like US Vogue with an actress featured every month. In fact, it’s been five years since an actress took the cover honour. Until now.
The issue is devoted to Paris described by editor in chief Carine Roitfeld – “a city of only two syllables but with an eternal spirit, two syllables that evoke the most iconic and universal images that have inspired the September issue”. Or something like that. It’s been years since I worked on a written French translation. But the point is, Vogue Paris has some standards. Blake Lively doesn’t get to cover Vogue Paris year after year. Or, for that matter, Jessica Biel.
But then again, Marion is something else. And this photo, I love it.
