Marion Cotillard is not nominated for an Oscar. It ends for her at the BAFTAs. No more award season Marion. So she wore a bright yellow Dior on her final stop. It’s beautiful. It looks like a calla lily, my favourite flower.
As for that sheer piece on the side…
Reminds me of Jennifer Lawrence’s Dior at the SAGs; it’s the same collection. And they said there was a wardrobe malfunction when she went up on stage. But it was the sheer panelling under the dress that made it so weird. Here the sheer works. It works for me the longer I look at it. Because then it becomes about construction and illusion. You see how in using the sheer to separate the swirl from the skirt it makes it seem like a delicate balancing act? I love it. And it’s even better when it’s in motion, a strong style conclusion to the circuit.
