I don’t know why Joel McHale was moderating the Haywire Q&A after the secret screening of the movie at AFI Fest the other night. Like, he’s the star of his own hit cult comedy...
But if you are fan - yes, I can hear you Duana - you probably love him that much more for it, right? Also, Haywire was directed by Steven Soderbergh who also directed The Informant and McHale was in The Informant although I’m pretty sure he’s not in Haywire...
Ok, whatever, why are these details important? This is not the point.
The point is...
Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor, Joel McHale...together...on one stage...
I’ve attached as many photos as I could find! Feast!
Did I mention that McHale didn’t have anything prepared so he opened with:
“How do you feel about the Kardashian divorce?”
And Soderbergh answered: “I almost didn’t come tonight. We’re all in a period of mourning.”
As for Haywire...
I saw the trailer a few weeks ago and I remember texting Sarah like, WTF with all these names and this director and a fighter girl I’ve never heard of? Yes, you can judge me for not knowing about MMA. Sorry.
Anyway, Soderbergh built his project around Gina Carano. And talked all these other stars to be in his movie. And Haywire is what happened. Jason Bourne for girls, and her name isn’t Angelina Jolie. Click here for more from the Q&A and about Haywire.
