And for a minute there it looked like it might contend for the Palme d’Or. Instead, it ended up being Jacques Audiard’s Dheepan. That doesn’t mean it won’t be a player at the Oscars though. Especially if Harvey Weinstein gets involved. Which means he’ll put Marion Cotillard against Cate Blanchett. I’m into that. That would be a RACE.
In other Fassbender news, he and his girlfriend Alicia Vikander were at the Grand Prix of Monaco together yesterday, willingly posing for photos together. Which, in these parts, is basically a declaration. After all, it was never like this with Zoe Kravitz or Nicole Beharie. Um, now I’m noticing that one of these is not like the other.
