Mila Kunis is currently promoting hot mess Jupiter Ascending and is dutifully doing the talk show rounds – I wrote about her appearance on Ellen here. Yesterday she was on Reddit for an AMA and she definitely has a twinkle. She’s sharp, she’s funny and there isn’t a lot of talk about Ashton. This is how I like my Mila.
AMAs are great for the random stuff you pick up that doesn’t come out in traditional interviews. She says that Seth Green is her and Sarah Michelle Gellar’s best friend. So they are three-way best friends? I had no idea! Seth and Mila are voice brother-and-sister Chris/Meg on Family Guy, so obviously they know one another, but I didn’t know they were so tight. And when asked about Seth MacFarlane, her response is that he’s very smart. And that’s it.
She talks a lot about watching TV, clarifies why she skipped Ted 2 (pregnancy), ‘N SYNC over BSB, she mentions the Serial sub-reddit, pizza toppings (pepperoni is gross, I agree) and her favorite salad dressing, Wasabi, which I didn’t even know was a type of dressing. (These reddit comments go on for days, and also people can be real creeps. Is Mila Kunis going to marry you? No, no she’s not.)
One of the more interesting questions was what she would teach if she were a college professor, and her answer is “How to be an awesome, badass chick who knows how to take apart & put together a gun blinded, make a four-course meal and parallel park the sh-t out of a car.” These are indeed all impressive tasks – I can only do one of those things (and it certainly isn’t parallel parking). Mila also mentions video games and World of Warcraft a few times. And the three languages she speaks. And her favorite gas station snack. And how much she loves cooking.
So, basically, Mila is the elusive “cool girl”. If you aren’t familiar, the “cool girl”, as defined by Amazing Amy in Gone Girl, is one of my favorite things (you can read it in full here). “Men always say that as the defining compliment, don’t they? She’s a cool girl. Being the Cool Girl means I am a hot, brilliant, funny woman who adores football, poker, dirty jokes, and burping, who plays video games, drinks cheap beer, loves threesomes and anal sex, and jams hot dogs and hamburgers into her mouth like she’s hosting the world’s biggest culinary gang bang while somehow maintaining a size 2, because Cool Girls are above all hot.”
She is hot, funny and likes video games. The Cool Girl is real, and it’s Mila Kunis. OF COURSE Ashton Kutcher got Cool Girl.
