They teach them how to sing and dance, how to pose for paps, how to fashion their young lips into beat-me pouts, and at the end of the day, how to make millions, and millions of dollars.

But they don’t teach them grace. Or good manners. Or humility. They don’t teach them kindness. They don’t give them class.

Which is why Miley Cyrus is That Girl. That Girl who can’t get along with other girls. That Girl who puts down any other girl who’s had some success. That Girl who can’t share. That Girl who raged on Selena Gomez (love her!) and Demi Lovato. That Girl who is now disrespecting Katy Perry.

But Hannah Montana is supposed to represent some kind of all girl anthem?

Right.

You’re probably tired of it but Katy Perry’s I Kissed a Girl is the song of the summer. Riding the top of the charts, heavy heavy radio rotation, Katy Perry has a hit. Katy Perry will be appearing at Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards and she announced cheekily last week that she was hoping to kiss Miley Cyrus – the way Madonna kissed Britney and Christina.

Miley was asked about it yesterday… to which she replied:

"No thanks. She sang on my record. So I think she's kind of getting back at me, because she was doing harmonies and backgrounds."

What????

Oh no she dih’int.

Oh yes she did.

From a girl who has never, ever had to struggle. From a girl who’s had everything handed to her on a Disney platter. And now she’s reminding Katy Perry, who was once dropped by 3 labels, who’s been busting her ass for years, now she’s reminding Katy Perry that she used to sing “backgrounds on her record?”

And they call this little piece of sh*t a role model?

Yay for child stardom!
