Miranda Lambert was named Best Female Vocalist last night at the American Country Countdown Awards last night in Nashville. You know my Taylor Swift 1989 addiction? It was over a month, that’s all I listened to. And then walking through a store one day I heard Miranda Lambert’s Little Red Wagon. It’s not the greatest song. But I can’t stop listening to it. So I downloaded the album, Platinum, and now that and D’Angelo’s latest (it dropped yesterday OMG OMG) have replaced Blank Space.
It’s her voice. I’m obsessed with her voice. You know at the end of a cold when your voice is juuuuuust a little raspy still and it sounds so good and you wish you could keep it but not the congestion and the cough and the fever and the rest of it? That’s her voice to me.
Anyway, this denim skirt she wore during her performance…
Not my thing, normally. But it’s country. And, curiously, with the sparkle in her top, it’s bringing out some of the distressing in the jeans. Looks really, really good, right?
