There are more details now emerging about what went down between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp. Amber filed for divorce on Monday, three days after Johnny’s ma, Betty Sue, passed away. The timing of Amber’s divorce claim, after Betty Sue died on Friday, was initially seen by many to be a cold move.

According to Amber, it was out of necessity. Because we now know that she’s saying that Johnny assaulted her on Saturday. TMZ is reporting that she was on the phone with a friend when it happened:

She claims Depp smashed his iPhone on her face. Amber claims during the alleged attack, Johnny shattered various objects in the apartment. She says she was on the phone with a friend during the fight, and when Johnny grabbed her phone she screamed to her friend, "Call the cops!" The friend called 911 and cops came to the residence.

Amber says when cops arrived Johnny had already fled, so they took a report.

We're told cops told Amber they would find Johnny and arrest him if she gave a statement about the alleged violence, but she refused. Officers told her if she changed her mind she could call them.

TMZ has a copy of that police report which you can see here. According to TMZ, she has not gone back to the police since.

But this information would explain why she filed so soon after his ma died. And PEOPLE is now quoting sources on Amber’s side who says that this was not an “isolated event”. TMZ also notes that in addition to this photo, Amber claims to have video of one of the times he’s hit her. She’s also alleging that after he struck her on Saturday he “offered her money to stay quiet”. PEOPLE is corroborating this claim. She refused and decided to file for divorce on Monday instead.

Johnny has not yet officially addressed Amber’s allegations. TMZ is however quoting sources on his side who insist Amber is lying because she didn’t give a proper statement to police and supposedly posted Instagram photos after the assault and did not show any signs of physical harm.

Well if that’s the best he can do, it’s weak as f-ck.

By the way, there were photos released of Amber yesterday purporting that she went shopping at Tiffany on Tuesday. It turns out that those pictures were taken back in April. These photos attached to this post are the first photos of her since the alleged incident. 

So now you have one of the world’s biggest movie stars, opening a family film this weekend, the face of a major family franchise that’s scheduled to be released next year, staring down domestic abuse accusations by his estranged wife…with photo evidence and, possibly, video. Do you pick up the phone if you’re Vanessa Paradis and you see Johnny’s name on the display? That was Sean Penn’s move last year when he slapped back at Lee Daniels; Madonna ended up vouching for him.

It’s basically all Johnny Depp has left at this point. Because right now, he is F------CKED.
