The National Board of Review has just released their list for top films and performances of 2014. And there were some surprises…including some love for my #1 Oscar Isaac!

Best Film: A Most Violent Year
Best Actor: Oscar Isaac, A Most Violent Year & Michael Keaton, Birdman (tie)
Best Supporting Actress: Jessica Chastain, A Most Violent Year

OK. So your film is the best of the year. And your two actors are the best in their categories. As the director, don’t you think it should be yours?

JC Chandor?

Nope.

Clint Eastwood. The NBR named Clint Eastwood the Best Director for American Sniper. People stilllll need to kiss that guy’s ass.

The NBR’s list of top 10 is as follows:

American Sniper
Birdman
Boyhood
Fury
Gone Girl
The Imitation Game
Inherent Vice
The Lego Movie
Nightcrawler
Unbroken

The Lego Movie, WTF? And it got Best Original Screenplay! This award season so far is all over the place. Click here to see the full list. We will discuss more in other posts.

For now, these are new photos of Oscar Isaac in NYC with his girlfriend. So now we know he has a girlfriend. No name was provided. Has Oscar just entered the Oscar race?
