Smutty Tingles

Hi Sasha – I’m looking for a little wrist clutch so that I can carry just the bare necessities with me around especially for a night out.   I’m tired of carrying my big hobo bag around.  I don’t want to spend more than 250 so the cheaper the better.  Thanks! L

___

You know I’m all for downsizing so L, the wristlet is the way to go and I’ve found a throng of different styles just for you!

Art deco inspired anything will never do you wrong plus, it adds the perfect touch to any outfit.   L, if you can get down with that kind of steeze then I have two pretty styles coming at you here and here.

Another way to add some fashion flare is with the use of texture and the best way to accomplish that is by way of reptile skin - think python or croc.  To see what I mean get clicking here, and here, and here and here.  Oh and why not throw in some Ostrich for good luck.

A huge trend on the red carpet circuit is the pill box clutch and I’ve narrowed down my favorite picks for you here, and here, and here.

Metallics are also a no brainer when you’re looking to up the style ante and holy sh-t! I love this envelope wristlet in that eye popping rose gold.

If you’re looking for a bit more versatility for an everyday type look then peep out this one from Warehouse.  Its neutral color keeps your look streamline yet the asymmetrical design adds some intrigue.

Valentino’s studded wristlets are beautiful but your budget ain’t gonna cut it so click away here, and here, and here for some copy-cat styles.

Finally, click here and here for my standouts from the entire lot. I don’t know what else to say other than they’re awesome, Oh! Oh! Oh! and the best part is that you can buy both and still be under budget. You’re welcome.

We're having a girl and have decided to name her Mae. The thing is that although we both like this name, it is a compromise chosen through a process of elimination. My first choice would be Lisa and my husband's would be Celia.  These two names seem so close in sound that I can't believe there isn't something in between that we would both love. Full Story

It’s not that this isn’t flattering. She has the body for it, so it doesn’t look bad. It just doesn’t look...suitable. This outfit on someone else might feel fresh and young. On Selena, for some reason, it actually seems kinda old.  Full Story

It’s almost Spring -- my favourite time of year! This is when a lot of us are ramping up our running. Whether you are training for your first 5km or a marathon, this is when your running mileage will begin to increase. Up to this point in your training you probably have not noticed much in regards to knee, back and hip pain but as the distances you run increase so might your aches. Full Story

March 22, 2012 - Smutty Shout-Outs

Really love the idea of the off-the-shoulder trench coat. Practical? Probably not. But practicality is often not a concern for people who can afford a Miu Miu off-the-shoulder trench dress, whatever. Also the colour pops in a fall collection -- I’m not a pink wearer too often but this pink got me all excited, especially as a polka dotted black dress skirt hem, oh la! Full Story

WHAT:  VITA FEDE BULLONI BRACELET

WHERE:  CLICK HERE

WHY: Statement jewelry is having its hay day; the bigger, the bolder, the brighter, the better.  And while I love a sartorial punch there’s a lot to be said for wearing a couple understated pieces. You know, something that just peeks out from underneath a collar or cuff that gleams glamor in all its simplicity. And that’s exactly why I adore this bracelet – it’s not only high style, but it’ll remain a fashion constant through all the other fleeting trends.

Hey Sasha, I'm a graduate student who recently got out of a long distance relationship with a younger guy (he's 19, I'm 23). His deal is that he doesn't want commitment, and he wants to date other girls, but he loves me and maybe one day it'll work out again. When I came home for Christmas, I was hesitant about hanging out, but he bought me a Christmas present (my favourite Chanel perfume), and as we hung out more and more he took me on more "dates" i. Full Story

There’s a maxi dress with sails on it. And a wicked blue coat with a turned up hem. And totally impractical boots with chains that somehow become leather leggings. Chanel must pay them so well, the creatives behind Karl Lagerfeld, willing to design without credit or recognition. Full Story

I'm pregnant with my second child and we're expecting a girl! Our first is a boy, named George. My husband is Chinese and I am Jewish so we're following the Jewish tradition of naming our children after recently deceased relatives, in this case girls names starting with an "H" or an "E". Full Story

Hedi Slimane’s highly anticipated first collection for Saint Laurent – click here for a refresher -- was largely underwhelming. And his second? Well, it’s super high end luxury grunge. Which... fine. But I see girls creating this look, and maybe even cuter, from $5 purchases at thrift stores or their boyfriends’ closets. Full Story
