Queen Elizabeth yesterday released a statement about the coronavirus pandemic. Well, sort of. The purpose of her letter, of course, was to reassure the public and to encourage community care. While The Return of the (Mac) Sussexes was dominating headlines last week, another curious royal story got out there under the radar about Prince Andrew, who was friends with the dead rapist pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Prince Andrew, who was friends with the dead rapist pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, has reportedly not yet cooperated with investigators about Epstein’s crimes, despite insisting in an interview with BBC Newsnight that he’d be willing to participate.  This morning in New York, Gloria Allred, who is representing a few of the women who were sex trafficked by Epstein to his network of wealthy and privileged men, held a press conference outside the New York Supreme Court with a message for the Queen’s beloved second son: “My clients deserve the truth. Full Story

It hasn’t been a good start to the new decade for the British royal family. Their biggest problem right now – or at least it should be – is Prince Andrew. Andrew was friends with Jeffrey Epstein, the dead rapist pedophile, and he apparently hasn’t made himself available to help with US investigators trying to piece together Epstein’s crimes. Full Story

PEOPLE reported yesterday that Princess Beatrice and fiancé Edoardo Mozzi will be married on May 29. Beatrice was engaged in September – it was the one piece of good news for House York in the second half of 2019. British royals don’t usually hold off too long before announcing their wedding date. Full Story

While everyone over at Buckingham Palace is hoping that the Jeffrey Epstein mess will go away, over in the United States, even though they bungled it for a decade (so let’s not give them too much credit), they’re still proceeding with an investigation, and today, there was a news conference held outside of Epstein’s New York mansion, with authorities directly commenting on Prince Andrew’s involvement – or lack thereof Full Story

The Summit at Sandringham (which I’m told we’re supposed to stop calling a “summit”, but certain things stick, you know?) happened a week ago today. Late Saturday, Buckingham Palace released a statement from the Queen confirming that the deal was done on Sussexit. This statement is not as informal as the one that came out a few days ago but there are some remarkable details. Full Story
