Prince Harry left England yesterday after what many are calling his final royal engagement and was seen arriving in Canada last night to rejoin Meghan Markle and their son Archie in Victoria, British Columbia now that Sussexit is a done deal. We’ll get to some of the other updates about their future and their plans in another post but right now, I want to go back to Harry’s remarks Full Story

The Summit at Sandringham (which I’m told we’re supposed to stop calling a “summit”, but certain things stick, you know?) happened a week ago today. Late Saturday, Buckingham Palace released a statement from the Queen confirming that the deal was done on Sussexit. This statement is not as informal as the one that came out a few days ago but there are some remarkable details. Full Story

Prince Harry today was at Buckingham Palace to host the Rugby 2021 World Cup draw. This is his first official engagement since the Sandringham Summit, after which the Queen announced her support for Sussexit. Buckingham Palace announced this weekend that the Queen has asked Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry to convene with her at Sandringham today so that they can agree on a Sussexit plan going forward as they consider all the options for Harry and Meghan Markle’s new royal playbook. This in and of itself is unusual, for the British royal family to actually inform the media and the public of their private schedules and agendas. Full Story

It’s only been 48 hours since House Sussex publicly announced their intention to create a new job description for themselves and the story keeps changing and updating. Quick recap: when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle first released their statement, Buckingham Palace soon followed, less than two hours later with a rather terse response, saying that there were “complicated” issues to work through, suggesting that the Queen was far from signing off on the matter and that there might be pushback. Full Story

Much of the negative and often inaccurate coverage around the royal family and particularly Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have to do with money.
