Rachel McAdams, where was this at the Oscars?! It’s Maison Valentino. And, to me, it’s probably the best dress she’s ever worn on a red carpet, ever. Yes to the high collar. Yes to the long sleeves. Yes because all that balances out the sort of nude effect in the skirt, along with the writing so that we have the new age on top and a nod to astrology and the ancient on the bottom. Theme checks out. And the fit is perfect. And that was 100% the right choice on the lips. There were a lot of dark lips at this event. Which makes me so happy, because I’m all about a dark lip, and I want to take it right through the summer. OK with you?
As for Sienna in Gucci…
It’s a pretty material, this rose gold. But I’m not sure why it’s been done as a beach dress. Isn’t this a beach dress? It’s a beach dress with beach hair. And you know what? F-ck this hair. F-ck it forever. Rachel couldn’t make this hair work at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner (click here for a refresher) and Sienna’s not making it work at the MET Gala.
