Dear Gossips,
Five years ago today, also a Friday, I was positioned at the Duke of York monument in London reporting from the royal wedding live on CTV, waiting for Will and Kate to pass by on their carriage after getting married at Westminster Abbey. It was one of the best assignments of my life. Not just because it felt like a once-in-a-lifetime professional opportunity but also because it was so much fun! England was a party on every corner.
Remember how great Will and Harry looked side by side in their uniforms, one in red, the other in black? Remember how Harry allegedly leaned over to Will when Kate was walking down the aisle, “Wait ‘til you see her”? Remember the kiss? Both kisses? And the cute little car they drove away in? Remember when we thought Pippa actually had potential?
We were all so innocent then.
But … there is another.
Because now we have Big G. Who, in his time, will be very, very good for royal gossip.
