Robin Wright was seen in New York yesterday shopping with daughter Dylan. Looks like they were having a great time. Dylan’s dad of course is Sean Penn from whom Robin is separated, this time she says for good. This must be why he told Vanity Fair last month that Robin “is a ghost to me now”.
Because she dared to be happy without him? Or because she dared to date someone else after him? Remember when Sean Penn was a jealous little bitch at the Oscars? Click here for a refresher on that. What does it mean when one is kinder to strangers than he is to his loved ones? It’s a problem Robin no longer has to deal with.
She will soon be seen in Robert Redford’s The Conspirator which many say could make an awards season run – the ultimate F-CK YOU to an ex-husband, non? – and she’ll start work in a few weeks on Moneyball with Brad Pitt. While we’re getting nostalgic for the 80s today though, why not a little Princess Bride? I went to watch it for my 14th birthday and you can imagine the impact Cary Elwes would have had on a teenager then. Every time I see him now I shudder.
