Ryan Lochte was out last night in London. He seems to enjoy getting papped, non? A lot. After London 2012, I wonder how he’ll deal with not being followed and talked about constantly anymore. Look at Ryan Lochte. Ryan Lochte doesn’t want to fade away and live a private life. Ryan Lochte wants it bad. Ryan Lochte wants it bad enough for Dancing With The Stars.

According to US Weekly Lochte, who already said he wanted to move to LA, revealed that he’d be open to the opportunity. Anything. Anything to stay famous, or be MORE famous than what he is now. If you think about it, he was born for it. And at the right time. At a time of Jersey Shores and Kardashians, at a time when we celebrate the absurd, maybe Lochte was right...

It IS his time...

Just...

Not exactly the way he meant it originally.

I’ve been saying for days that Ryan Lochte is the Mariah Carey of swimming. His lack of awareness combined with his vanity, and his limited cognitive abilities, all of that is wonderful in swimming. I will never hate Ryan’s Mimi-ness in swimming while he’s still swimming because, well, although he’s not a special swimmer, he certainly is a very good swimmer.

Will it work outside of the pool though? When Ryan Lochte goes from swimmer to former swimmer with that hair and those clothes and the attitude and half a brain, will it be as entertaining? Or will he just be another retired athlete monkey-dancing as hard as he can to make people care about him? Jezebel last week called him out for being the almost 30 year old guy who still hangs out in the high school parking lot. I suppose...becoming a C List at best celebrity is sort of like graduation then?
