I've had to medicate with a lot of vodka to get over this one. The Anna Karenina party was on Friday at Soho House. I had an invitation to go. Obviously I was going. F-ck!
Our show is Canadian. Ryan Gosling is Canadian. He's a big deal here. He's a big deal everywhere. And, as you know, Sam and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, in comparison, they're an acquired taste. So I had to cover The Place Beyond The Pines carpet and the after-party so I could round out the story with Gosling and Eva Mendes. F-ck!
And they were being Taylory-Johnsony too. On the carpet it was all kinds of cocoon love and emotion. At the dinner they wouldn't leave each other's side. Shinan Govani of the National Post told me that he even bruised his head, trying to move a chair for her. F-ck!
