Sandra Bullock. There’s no other way to say it.

Sandy was a surprise guest last night at the Nashville benefit concert to raise money for flood victims, with a guitar strapped around her, teasing that she was about to perform before introducing Faith Hill who spearheaded the effort with a very exhausted looking Tim McGraw. Sandy received a standing ovation and the event raised $2 million featuring performances by Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and more.

Throughout this Jesse James debacle, Sandy has been all class, obviously. But she has always been all class philanthropically. She was one of the first celebrities, if not the first celebrity, to donate $1 million to the Red Cross after September 11, 2001 and another million to Tsunami relief and another million to Hurricane Katrina victims and another million to Haiti earthquake relief. She also volunteers extensively without cameras and....

After the September 11, 2001 attacks, as Bullock was in New York at the time, just a few blocks from the Twin Towers, she rushed to the hospital and asked to be put to work. The phones were f-cked so what she ended up doing was going from patient to patient, offering to send emails from her Palm so that their families would know where they were. She also did what she could to arrange transportation, supplies, food, and support. For DAYS. She did this for days.

Love her so much. And goddamn did she look beautiful last night.
