I don’t mean to play the martyr here, well, yah I do, but it's just that I need you to know it took me 7 effing days to find these goddamn boots. No one in the internet world has been able to identify them and to be quite honest I don’t even know if I’m 100% sure, but these (1) Margiela’s look to be the ones, right? Righhhhhtttt? YESSSS! So for everyone who wrote in, and there was a sh-t load of you, BUY THEM!

Now instead of picking apart the rest of her outfit I thought I’d go a different route and breakdown another recent Katie look (below). She still has the same boots on, but this outfit is so much fresher plus, it’s so easy to recreate. Shall we?
Let’s start with the skirt – it’s J Crew and you can cop it right here (9). But feel free to mix it up -- maybe you want to go black (10), or maybe flared (11), or maybe just plain ol’ short (12). Any of these choices are a good call.
Oh and don't forget to wrap the skirt up in a simple thin brown belt like this (13) one from Madewell.

Update: okay, here's the thing. I heard from a bunch of you last night who were trying to school my ass on these burgundy boots. Some of you were pretty adamant that they were these Michael Kors but i've just talked to my homegirl at Michael Kors and they are not them! But shit dudes, they're pretty dang copy cat so I say buy buy buy
