I’m almost positive SJP is wearing a pair of 7 For Mankind in that picture, and if I’m right that means they are from a few seasons ago. Either way they wouldn’t have been ‘cheap’ but fret not I’ve got some more affordable goodies coming your way.
J Crew is the first place that comes to mind. I just tried on their matchstick cord the other week and I really liked them. Super comfortable, flattering and so many fun colors to choose from. I actually have no clue why I didn’t buy them. And if you’re like me and like a higher waist for more ass coverage they’ve got this version as well.
Madewell is my web-window shopping destination. They have the best basics, and of course they have a great pair of straight leg cords. Navy is always a safe bet, but if you want to cop SJP’s steez go with the grey ones.
As you know, Lainey is full on in love with her new red jeans. She’s right on point with that color for the season and if you can bust out in that hue too check these ones by Lucky. And cha-ching! They’re cha-cha-cheap.
Now, if you’re looking for a less in your face color pop then I really like this season’s muted palettes of burnt rusts and browns. For that look at these ones from Eddie Bauer. Admittedly I’ve never bought anything from them, but for 40 bones these are worth a whirl.
Finally, as I’ve mentioned in the last post, no one does cheap chic better than Joe Fresh. They’ve got a seriously good pair in right now with a cute ankle zipper detail. Pick them up and a frozen pizza while you’re at it.
