Big shoes, leggings, winter boots

I need a size 41 shoe and where can I find a good shoe selection online? I live in Regina, the only one or two independent shoe stores here don't sell beyond size 10 and I am tired of Aldo and Feet First. I'm pretty fashion forward, like nice things, but at Winners or the Shoe Company their larger size shoe section looks like my Great Aunt's closet (and I check Winners at least once a week). I've recently gone back to work after staying at home with my daughter and I am totally at a loss for options.... black dress already purchased would like some nice I would like some nice high heeled pumps, will spend up to and around $300. L

I can’t say much about Feet Fist but L, I did get a sneak peek into Aldo’s winter and holiday collection and let me just say they have some seriously drool worthy sh*t coming out. But fine, I get it; you want to mix it up. Now, I’m going to assume that because you’re looking for party pumps you can play it up a bit. If not, oops! Too bad.

I am certifiably obsessed with suede shoes. Yes, I know they are super impractical for fall, but I never said I was smart. And L, if you’re a dummy like me, then check out some sweet suede heels here, here and here.

I’m starting to sound like a broken record, so let me say this really quickly. Python. Do it. Now. Or else. But if that pump is too progressive then try this subtle python print in all black.

Whenever I see a girl strutting delicate strappy heels, I always regret not owning any. And if you’re planning to sex it up on your big night out, check out these heels - they reek of sex.

You’re gonna start seeing a lot of glittery gams this season and not just for the holidays. So if you’re not afraid to glitz it up, check out some D Squared heels here.

Whoa. That pretty much sums up how I feel about these.

I take that last ‘whoa’ back because I’d like to apply it to these instead. Whoa. How I just found Pradas for under 300.00, I don’t know, but what I do know is someone better buy them.

Finally, if all else fails, black heels will never do you wrong. I just ask that you step it up a notch with something like these Miu Mius.

There you have it - hope you found something in here that you loved! Xx

Where can I find good leggings? Lululemon are too sporty and thick, Majestic is shit quality, Aritzia they don't have good shine/hold...etc. They are my go to plane outfit with booties and a great top/scarf! Thanks S

You know how I feel about leggings, right? I’ll try not to be too judgey, just promise you won’t wear them like actual pants – ie tuck your tops into them. Oh and if you are going to do leggings this season at least make them a bit more interesting. Okay? So with that out of the way let’s get started.

First up are these leggings. Really dig the color, but most of all I like the mild slouching effect down the leg. Pair it with a warm cozy knit and some ankle boots and you’ll be looking very cabin chic.
Colored cords are a big trend for this season and I’ve heard a lot of good things about James Jeans. These look like proper pants to me, but hey, they say they’re ‘leggings’ so I’m going with it. Another legging disguised as a pant are these hot ass Rag and Bones. Love the olive color and they look hella comfortable.

Faux leather leggings are always a great way to up the style quotient and these J Brands look they’ll do the deed.

But fine, if you’re looking for a more traditional legging then check out these. Looks like Kim Kardashian is a fan so if she’s your measure for all things high fashion, by all means…

Hey Sasha, I'm already dreading the end of the summer and the thought of long winter in Toronto. I'll have to walk some distance to work in the upcoming snowstorms, and I'm having the toughest time looking for good waterproof boots to prepare for the season ahead. I'm an Ugg girl and I can't help myself... but they're hard to clean so I avoid wearing it in the storm/grey slush. So what kind of waterproof boots should I look for? Thank you! –R

R, I’m so glad someone asked this question because I’ve been dying to share my latest love. Ready for the big reveal?

(Lainey: true story. I was sitting beside Sasha when her new Cougars arrived. I wanted them.)

Yep, if you’re Canadian then you’ll remember pillow boots back in the day. They haven’t changed much and that’s A-Okay by me. They are so comfortable, so warm and check out that slick red lining. They’re totally my winter jam. But, if that’s too blast for the past for your ass, then check out something like this or this from their collection.

I was recently introduced to Moov boots by a friend at work - she says they are the best winter boots she’s ever had. I’m all up for a fashion game changer so they’re worth a try. They’re like a wellie winter boot combo - check out their “Classic” in black at their online store here.

If you’re looking for something that still has an Ugg feel but with more practicality then take a look at these great boots by La Canadienne.

Finally have you heard of Native Shoes? They are a rad Vancouver brand that I really support, and if you’re looking for more waterproof than warm, check out their new style called The Jimmy. Throw some woolies in there and you’ll be good to go.

Keep sending your life and style questions directly to [email protected] and she’ll pass them on. See ya next week!
