You've been emailing about this today: Sean Penn having no time for his wife Robin Wright despite the fact that she seemed overcome by his win. At one point the Academy featured a really sweet camera angle of him in profile with her face in the background...only he seemed like he could care less.
I saw it too like you. She tried to kiss him and he was like - not now babe. Awkward.
Is it a big deal that he didn't thank her? I don't think so. It's not his style. He was too busy being inspirational.
In the press room he was too busy being surly. I am officially afraid of Sean Penn. Please. Don't ask me to ask him what he thinks of Madonna's divorce. I value a great scoop but I'm also going to Vegas in 3 days and I didn't want to f-ck up my trip.
Going back to the affection vibe though - he seemed to be way more so with Kate and P Cruz in the press room. And also left the Vanity Fair party way late and alone. Then again, he loves the Sunset. Is apparently at the bar at least once a week.
He's just that kind of dude, you know? The kind of dude that Madonna has always been attracted to. Inflexible, aloof but passionate, moody and intense, selfish, inconsiderate, and irresistible.
Robin is just able to live with it better than Madonna was.
