Sarah probably won’t be too happy about this. Sharlto Copley arrived at LAX yesterday with his girlfriend Jeanne-Melanie Haasbroek. Didn’t know he had a girlfriend. Don’t know much about him at all. After all, District 9 was his first time in front of the camera. Before that his work was largely behind the scenes. And now he’s in The A-Team and considering his next acting assignment.

So he’s still relatively new. Which means when it comes to the Hollywood bullsh-t movie star game, Sharlto is still relatively untouched. Which is why he actually appreciated his trailer and all the perks while working on A-Team.

“It was like a holiday for me compared to District 9. I sat in the trailer and changed channels on Direct TV. I had my grill and I had candles. One day I remember Bradley was sitting outside his trailer all by himself and he was playing. He was serenading us. He was playing this music because he was all jealous because my trailer was all homey and I had incense going. I was like, ‘This is the way to do it.’ He lived in my trailer for the first four nights. He seriously did. We were meant to stay in a motel but it was an hour’s drive away. And I, just jokingly, I was like the new guy, said, ‘Why wouldn’t we just stay in the trailer? The trailer is nicer than the motel room.’ He was like ‘Hahahahah!’ and then I saw Liam and he was going, ‘Can we do that?’ I said, ‘I don’t know. It just sort of popped up.’ We had barbecues at his place. In the beginning that was very cool.”

I really, really love it that it wouldn’t occur to the veteran actors that you can sleep in a trailer. A tricked out, pampered residential vehicle, and they have no idea. That behaviour? In that town? It’s contagious. Sharlto, don’t stay too long in Los Angeles.
