A reminder that the 5th Annual Gala Fundraiser in collaboration with Make-A-Wish Quebec (at Le Chateau Classique in Montreal) is this coming Saturday November 16th. The goal is to raise at least $12,000 to make a child’s wish come true. And that could be Kamarhi’s wish to go to Disneyland. Full Story

Dinner with Dignity is dinner program run through Roncesvalles United Church in Toronto providing nutritious homemade meals to about 250 people in need every Sunday. Meals are created and served by volunteers and the weekly gathering builds community and understanding, bringing together people from different backgrounds and faiths. Full Story

On October 18th and 19th long-time reader Melanie will be participating in Cape Ann Animal Aid’s Night Without A Family, where she will spend 24 hours living, sleeping, eating and playing like a typical shelter dog. That means living in a kennel unless she's "taken out" for a play group or a potty break. Full Story
