According to People, always the mouthpiece for a publicist sanctioned story, Josh Harnett was seen caressing Sienna’s thigh at the Chateau Marmont on Tuesday night, eventually leaving together hand in hand towards the bungalow area. Needless to say, reps for both are “downplaying” the report but, beyond the simply superficial (that they’d be physically well suited) there could also be some professional intrigue at play behind this new hookup.
As we all know, Sienna is Harvey Weinstein’s new golden girl, behind whom he’s thrown much of his coveted public support. Sienna and Harvey are currently collaborating on Factory Girl promotion – a film beleaguered thus far by scandal and bad press and a certain amount of confusion too with no one exactly certain about when it moves to wide release. And being the astute producer that he is, it’s now up to Harvey to turn that sh-t around, to drum up as much positivity as possible surrounding his project and his star in order to redeem his much-hyped and under-delivered final product. Of course, like all powerful puppet masters, Harvey is supposedly also not adverse to milking a romantic angle when available or even creating one when necessary – whatever it takes to sell his movies…
Enter Josh Hartnett. A young actor desperately in need of a hit himself, horny and willing, not to say that he and Sienna haven’t struck up something hot but the convenience of their new love exposure is rather suspect, non? For the record though, I do think they’d make a lovely couple – he stupid enough to let go of Scarlett Johansson, she stupid enough because, well, it’s Sienna Miller…enough said. Source
