I’m on the go, all the time -- from work, to my workouts, to running errands, to meeting friends for dinner and a glass of wine after a long day. I leave my house at 5:30am and normally I am not walking through my door until the sun is setting. Needless to say I live out of my car and, more importantly, my gym bag. How do I make sure I am able to do everything I do in a day and continue to look presentable as the clock ticks? I have a few tricks, and these products below are five of my favourites.

Baby wipes – I learned this trick from my mom friends, who never leave home without them. They are cheap, they come in large quantities and because you can use them for everything they are a necessity for single, on the go girls like me. Baby wipes are great for a quick wipe down after training one of my many sweaty clients but more importantly they are perfect for a quick clean up after a workout (when the schedule does not allow for a shower). I use them to wipe off my sweaty skin, to freshen up the areas that can lose their freshness post workout (you know what I’m talking about here), to remove the smudgy mascara after a run and even to give the inside of my car a quick wipe.

Cute Running Shoes – Because I work downtown and a lot of times I am trying to fit in errands in the middle of the day, I need a pair of running shoes that I can wear in public that actually look cute but also can function for my run later in the day. It is no secret I am a big fan of New Balance and I have worn their shoes for 13 years. This model is my favourite (I have probably owned every colour they have ever made) as they are light-weight, functional and colourful without being tacky. Right now I am rocking the blue and green pair.

The Perfect Short – I know a lot of you shy away from shorts but trust me with this: these running shorts are amazing (I honestly own three pairs of them). They are the perfect length and are a tiny bit longer in the back than they are in the front which is great because no matter how many squats we do we all have that little bit of cellulite we hate that sits right below our butt cheeks, right? They fit a bit on the small side and I find the medium fits me perfect, however if you like your shorts to be a bit baggy then go a size larger than normal. They are short but they are super flattering.

Tonic – In a busy day (and if you are forgetting to drink your water) your skin can become quite dry. If you are sweating frequently, as well as washing your face, a good moisturizing mineral tonic is a must. I love this spray (it is a bit expensive but lasts a long time) and I use it daily. I use a quick spray prior to a run to protect my skin from environmental elements, such as pollution, as well as to quickly rehydrate my skin after a workout. If I happen to be meeting friends for dinner after work I will spray my face to give it a glow, helping me to not look as exhausted as I feel.

Texturizing Spray – If I was trapped on an island and could bring one thing, this would be it. Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray goes everywhere with me and I even have my 63 year old mother hooked on it. I know I am not alone when I say I have been known to skip a workout or two because I do not want to have to wash my hair afterwards. With this stuff you can honestly go one or two workouts and still have great hair. A quick blow dry to dry the sweat and a few sprays at the roots will have you looking like you just left the salon. The beach spray is great too, as is their hair refresher but if you have to choose one go with the texturizing spray. I have tried all kinds of dry shampoos and this is by far the best.
