As previously mentioned, the Oscar Nominees’ Luncheon is happening right now in LA. I’ve yet to see any photos of Benedict Cumberbatch there. On Friday however he was in London shooting Sherlock with Martin Freeman. It might be best for him to lie low right now anyway, considering that he made news for the wrong reason last week following those controversial remarks about diversity. Wonder too if he’s conceded that he could be trailing too far behind Michael Keaton and Eddie Redmayne.
Both Rosamund Pike and Reese Witherspoon were there however, and both dressed in white. Rosamund’s dress, to me, is much more interesting…although Reese’s footwear is far superior. Has Rosamund ever been more Amazing Amy than she looks here?
And has Julianne Moore ever looked more relaxed? I don’t mean to say that she’s over-confident. Of course you should never presume on these occasions. But she’s the slamdunk. And, often, there’s an air about the slamdunk of the year. Cate Blanchett had it in 2014.
