Gerard Butler was spotted flying out of LAX on Sunday. No idea where he was headed but it gives me an excuse to write again about his home country because Scotland is so lovely and I’ve only been here a day and a half and haven’t seen much and I still think it’s full of amazingness. Must come back. Maybe live. Am seriously considering enrolling as a mature student at St Andrews. I could still blog. I could go to classes like a proper adult, appreciating the value of being educated, instead of cutting out on lectures every day to go to the casino or flirt with boys. And Jacek could golf all the time. You know, if you live in St Andrews, the annual fee at the Old Course is only 150 pounds? And then you can play as much as you like. Please. I’d be shooting 85 on the regular. Am not being facetious about transferring. Our dogs would totally be into it here too. Must look into this.

Today we shot on campus. The university is 600 years old. My favourite tradition is how the students wear their robes. First years wear both shoulders. Second and third years shrug off one shoulder, depending on the year and the discipline. Four years let their robes hang by their elbows, practically dragging on the floor. Status!

Going for a run soon. Must free up some calorie space because tonight I’m having haggis, neeps, and tatties. A lot of people are like – um, are you sure you can handle that? My answer is always: I’m Chinese, we eat EVERYTHING. If I can slurp down a chicken foot and suck off all the skin and ask for more, in addition to some tongue, throw in a few frog legs, and whatever business my people think of braising next, I’m pretty sure haggis won’t be a problem.

Slainte mhaith!
