Taylor Momsen celebrated her 16th birthday yesterday by performing with her band Pretty Reckless in New York. As you can see, she looks 16 the way Miley Cyrus does. And the way Ali Lohan does.

In other words, 35 and plucked. Awesome.

Taylor is also celebrating her Teen Vogue cover and an interview that serves to convince us of her maturity and artistry. Taylor started modelling at 2 years old. Because this is the ambition of a 2 year old, you know? 2 year olds totally know what they want out of life. 2 year olds demand headshots and audition opportunities.

Taylor has already graduated high school, fast tracking her diploma two years early:

"I live a very adult life. What am I going to do, hang out with high school kids? I just can't relate to what they talk about – it seems so petty.”

And Taylor, just turned 16, is already very experienced, having been in “lots of relationships” but says she’s totally not interested in dating her own age because “boys are so much less mature than girls as it is. I would eat a boy my age alive."

Milo Ventimiglia is waiting for her.

What about college? What about more school?

School is not for artists. Haven’t you heard?

"I'm an artist; I'm not going to use trigonometry. For most people college is a place where you learn about yourself, and I feel like I'm doing that already. I'm already independent."

Natalie Portman went to Harvard. James Franco went to UCLA and is now studying at NYU and Columbia. Natalie has been nominated for an Oscar and owns a Golden Globe. James owns a Globe too, and a Spirit Award. Both have worked with the best, are at the top of the game.

Taylor Momsen must not consider them artists.

Yay for child stardom!
