The Canadian Screen Awards are happening this week, honouring Canadian achievements in film and television over several nights, culminating on Sunday with the live broadcast. Last night the television talk show, sports, and news programs were featured. The Marilyn Denis Show won for Best Direction and Best Talk Show.

Marilyn Denis is a legend in Canada. Her influence in our country cannot be overstated. Not only because she’s entertaining on the radio and on TV but also because of her hustle. She’s on the radio at the crack of ass every morning. Then she goes straight to her show and after that makes time for meetings and family and friends …and she’s been doing it for 30 years. And she never, ever has an off day. Marilyn Denis is, actually, the best.
