Loved the first trailer for The Master. Click here for a refresher. Have you seen the second? Last time the focus was on Joaquin Phoenix, the follower. This time we meet the leader, played by Philip Seymour Hoffman, who appears to be at his most brilliant in a role they say is based on L Ron Hubbard. I mean... you cannot deny the parallels now, right? While I was watching this, within the first few seconds, I thought of John Travolta. I wondered if he could relate. “Just say something that’s true!” When you believe in him, when you agree to let him guide you, what is it that you relinquish and what does he replace it with?

I can’t wait to see this movie. I can’t wait to hear this movie (thank you Jonny Greenwood). I can’t wait to talk about this movie over and over and over again - argue about its origin, its expected brilliance, its Oscar chances, its sh-tty box office...

What?

Here are the four films expected for release on October 12, 2012:

The Master
Argo, directed by Ben Affleck and the first trailer was solid
Gambit, starring Colin Firth, Cameron Diaz, and Alan Rickman

aaaaand....

Here Comes The Boom, Kevin James, Henry Winkler, and Salma Hayek

I’m just saying we might be driving our cars off the side of the road that weekend in frustration.
