Led by Her Majesty, all senior members of the Royal Family attended a commemoration service today at St Paul’s Cathedral to honour those who died in Afghanistan. For the Queen’s family, this is more than just an official responsibility. As you know, Prince Harry served twice in Afghanistan. He has spoken many times about the bond he forged with his countrymen and women. And of the profound sacrifice that is required of them as representatives of their nation. Maybe I’m imagining it but I feel like he’s standing extra tall, his expression extra resolute, here in his salute. I find this overwhelmingly endearing.
An all-royal Friday
