You know this already but I’ll repeat it anyway...
This sh-t will be UGLY.
Tom Cruise’s lawyer, Bert Fields, has released a statement according to the BBC. And his words are SHARP:
“Tactically we can't say where Tom will file a divorce case and if he'll be seeking joint custody of Suri. We are letting 'the other side' (Katie and her team), play the media until they wear everyone out and then we'll have something to say. It's not Tom's style to do this publicly. He is really sad about what's happening."
Tactically? The “other side”? Play the media? Oh someone is angry. And I’m not sure you want to present as angry right now. Right now Katie Holmes is indeed playing the media. She is the courageous mother to a vulnerable child. She appears to be putting the child before her own interests. Countering that with angry won’t be well-received.
Oh but while we’re here, you do know about Bert Fields, do you? Bert Fields has connections to Anthony Pellicano. Anthony Pellicano is currently in prison. He was the go-to private eye to the stars. Remember the wire-tapping scandal? If it’s a slow day, google it. It’s very well documented online. You’ll be reading for hours. Bert Fields allegedly engaged Pellicano’s services all the time. And Tom Cruise’s name was implicated in some of those investigations. Fields has always maintained that he knew nothing of Pellicano’s illegal activities. I’m not sure anyone actually believes him. And now he’s working with Tom on a very high profile, very contentious divorce. So all those reports about Katie being followed and having to cut off all her phones etc...
