Viola Davis has been working a lot of colour this award season. There’s been an orange, a green, a white with gold accent, but she seems to prefer pink. Pink has been chosen several times, actually. Some brighter than others. So far, no major metallics. What will be for the Oscars then? Gold? White? Or does she go back to the brights?

Viola did not win Best Actress last night. This time it was Meryl Streep’s turn. Do you believe in lucky colours?  She wore red to Critics’ Choice and started building the momentum. My mother, the Chinese Squawking Chicken says gold or red. Like good luck at a Chinese wedding.
