Zayn Malik performed It’s You on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last week – click here for a refresher. The studio version was released last night. I thought it was a pretty song live and it’s just as pretty in studio. I love it. Still. More.

This is the kind of song that makes me – like stupid – miss the love drama you experience in your 20s: the sickening shame you feel when s/he hasn’t called you back, the euphoric shame when s/he does. It’s so intense. And he sings it perfectly, because he probably feels it. Zayn is, after all, of the generation of public feeling. If you spend enough time on the millennial Instagram, you’d think they invented feeling.

In addition to releasing the audio of It’s You, Zayn also posted a preview of the video starring Nicola Peltz, made up to look like Perrie Edwards? Is this Zayn’s version of Cry Me A River?
