As usual, the Louis Vuitton presentation and after-party yesterday at Paris Fashion Week attracted a lot of big names. I won’t write to all of them in this post but the gallery includes shots of Law Roach, Jennifer Connelly (whose red outfit was my favourite and has always been one of Nicolas Ghesquière’s favourite muses), Hannah Einbinder, and more.
In terms of other LV ambassadors, Ana de Armas was there and the paps are pointing to a ring that looks like an engagement ring to try and increase interest in these pictures. Sure, I’ll bite. She’s been dating Manuel Anido Cuesta, controversially, given his family connection to Cuba’s president. So… is she actually about to marry him? Well, the ring isn’t on that finger. And celebrities are often lent statement pieces of jewellery during fashion shows. I’m not sure there’s anything here.
But also, I wonder if this is like a bat signal to Ben Affleck who seems to be cycling through his exes and seeing which one texts him back.
Emma Stone was also at the party, just as the Daily Mail and Page Six are trying to fabricate some kind of drama between her at Margaret Qualley from the Oscars out of this viral video.

These two are clearly clowning around, doing some kind of “you talkin’ to me” bit, there is no way they’re snapping at each other at the goddamn Oscars. And besides, there’s another video – captured by our very own Kathleen! – of the two of them that night where Emma’s playing the part of Margaret’s assistant, walking around fixing her dress. Keep it moving, there’s no mess here.
Then there’s Lisa, also an LV ambassador, and dating Frédéric Arnault, one of the possible LVMH heirs. There’s a song on her new album, Alter Ego, called “Moonlit Floor” that interpolates “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None the Richer (where are my She’s All That fans?!”) and one o the lines goes:
“Green-eyed French boy got me trippin’”
Frédéric has green eyes… it’s totally about him, right?
In other news, and this an LOL for me, my colleague and ETALK anchor Tyrone Edwards posted a behind-the-scenes video from the Oscar red carpet where he’s trying to stop Lisa for an interview and gets shuts down by her publicists. This has blown up on TikTok because K-pop fans are intense. To be clear, there is no shade here. It’s meant to show people what it’s like trying to secure interview opportunities on the longest red carpet and press line in the world. Everyone wanted a piece of Lisa that night.
That said, I’m namechecked, haha!
And finally, Sophie Turner is an LV regular and she attended with Peregrine Pearson who she’s been dating after she and Joe Jonas broke up. It’s been a year and a half, they’ve been IG official for a year now. But what’s more interesting is her professional life – because it was reported three months ago that she’s been cast as Lara Croft in Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Tomb Raider adaptation for Amazon. As you can imagine, there was big nerd reaction to the news, much of it negative. I can see it though, and I think she has the sass for it. Huge opportunity for her, but not sure how much longer we’ll have to wait since there are no concrete updates on when filming will begin or if the script is even ready. Hopefully soon. I’m looking forward to seeing what she looks like with that ponytail and dark hair.
