Intro for October 10, 2024
Dear Gossips,
Anderson Cooper was trending last night during CNN’s coverage of the impact of Hurricane Milton. At one point he was hit by debris on live television.

Some people on social media were kinda mad at CNN for sending him out there but for those us who’ve been watching Andy all these years, we know that this wasn’t up to the network. Anderson is the first one out the door when there’s a disaster.
CNN has been chasing Trump for so long there's a whole generation of people who don't know this is Anderson Cooper in his element.

Just wait til tomorrow when he whips out that black, short sleeve t shirt pic.twitter.com/CNlC7s8a6i
I wouldn't be surprised if they told him not to go and he said, " try and stop me"

The youth are just now realising that before Trump and New Year’s Eve, this is where Anderson established himself as a main character, he’s been trapped in the studio for too long, wearing suits instead of his short-sleeve t-shirts.
In other hurricane news, celebrity-related, and ahead of The Eras Tour that is scheduled to resume in Miami on Friday 18 October, Taylor Swift has made a $5 million donation to Feeding America to help those who’ve been affected by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. Her support was confirmed by the organisation on their social channels, Taylor herself has not commented directly.
Thank you, @taylorswift13, for standing with us in the movement to end hunger and helping communities in need in the wake of #HurricaneHelene and #HurricaneMilton.

On the New Heights podcast this week, acknowledging that it’s a bye week for Kansas City, Jason Kelce asked Travis about his plans. Travis sidestepped the question but he did say that “…if any of it comes out [in the press], I’m sure we’ll talk about it on the show.” There’s speculation that TNT might be hanging out in New York. There is also speculation (again) that they might be engaged because Troy Aikman is running his mouth again about how he heard that Travis already proposed. Everybody talks about a possible TNT wedding/marriage like it’s romance because the business of it is unsexy. I don’t mean that this isn’t a real relationship, so please don’t misunderstand; it is a real relationship but what’s also real is that Taylor is an empire. Over at The Squawk, one of our community members, Ksenia, often refers to her as an apex predator. An apex predator with an empire can’t just get married with a LOT of paperwork and agreements and negotiations, if she gets married at all. She’s too smart, too wealthy, too protective of what she’s built (and she should be!) to not be extremely pragmatic in how she approaches her romantic relationships. But I know, I know those aren’t the kinds of details we want in our fairy tales.
Yours in gossip,
Lainey
