On this week’s Sasha Answers, we talk about Ariana Grande’s new look – and how much we like it. Also… is someone being pressured into a threesome? There’s wedding and friend drama too. Oh and CBD. Which everyone seems to be talking about. So I tried some.
Is this a relatable Jaden Smith story? Maybe the one time? Because I’m sure a few of us wanted to get away from our parents when we were 15. If you’ve never yelled at your ma or dad, “I can’t wait to move out, I’m sick of your rules!” in the middle of a fight, well, OK, I want to know what it was like at your house. My ma did what Jaden’s ma did to him. “Sure, go ahead. I’ll always be here though.” It worked in my case and it worked in his. So does that mean we have something in common? (Dlisted)
OK Angela Bassett. I’ve had enough of you. I’ve had enough of you showing up every time looking like the baddest bitch in the business. And now here you are wearing the sh-t out of this reddish pink two piece situation, perfectly matched with silver shoes, and, OMG how do you keep doing this? If you keep this up to the Emmys, you’re going to kill me with all this amazing gorgessity. (Go Fug Yourself)
Angelina Jolie’s birthday was on Monday. She and all six of the children spent the day at an amusement park in London. All six. Which supposedly Brad Pitt wouldn’t be happy about because he doesn’t want her taking them away from him. Are birthdays an exception? (Cele|bitchy)
I am married to a Polish man. I LOVE Polish food. Most Polish food, I should say. Polish people eat pierogis with cherries inside and I’m a strictly savoury pierogi person – meat and cheese only. Anyway, the point is I got perfect on this Polish food test. Which I’m pretty proud of. If you are not familiar with Polish food, you’re missing out. Polish blood sausage is one of my favourite things in life. (Buzzfeed)
Today is the 20th anniversary of the first episode of Sex and the City. It’s been 20 f-cking years, what the F-CK? Anyway, this is why there are so many SATC pieces out there today. Does it hold up? I don’t know that all of it holds up. But it’s still very, very meme-able. (The Cut)
Many people have emailed me about this today – the judge in the Brock Turner rape case lost his job. Remember, Brock Turner raped a woman and he served just a summer in jail. But remember, not to bum you out here, but Brock Turner is appealing his conviction. Which means he still thinks he did nothing wrong. Which means he still thinks he was treated unfairly. And where does that leave us? (Salon)
