Angelina Jolie has been in Paris the last couple of days working with Guerlain. She is the brand ambassador and was seen yesterday shooting a new ad presumably for Mon Guerlain, the fragrance. Jacqueline Bisset is with her on the trip. They’ve been seen leaving the hotel together several times and today visited the Guerlain flagship, surrounded by photographers. Look at this scene:

Jacqueline is Angelina’s godmother. She and Angelina’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, were close friends. Here they are all together in 2001:
Back in 2015, during an interview on Loose Women, Jacqueline was asked about her relationship with her goddaughter:
“Unfortunately I haven't developed a close relationship with Angelina, I see her rarely but I'm very admiring of her. What I find difficult is she's become so famous. So many people are pulling on her time, I'm a little bit shy and I don't want to be someone who tries to take advantage of her.
Occasionally people say to me: "Oh you know Angelina Jolie", and I say "no she needs her space and she needs to do her number" but she's pretty remarkable.”
It seems like since then they’ve worked on their connection. Jacqueline presented to Angelina and Loung Ung at the Hollywood Film Awards in 2017 for their work on First They Killed My Father:
And now they’re on a girls’ trip together in Paris which kind of breaks my heart a little, it’s so bittersweet. Because if you didn’t know, they could be mother and daughter. And that’s the role of godmother, to be there when your mother isn’t. And it’s especially poignant because, as Angelina explained when she first announced her Guerlain partnership a couple of years ago, her mother wore Guerlain and it influenced her decision to build an association with the brand as a way to remember and honour Marcheline. So it’s understandable why she would have invited Jacqueline to join her. They make a magnificent pair, non? My GOD Jacqueline Bisset is magnificent enough on her own. This is totally my ma’s style. Except my ma would wear Jacqueline’s outfit and accessorise it with a cane and an Asian visor.
