Tomorrow is the last day of July and it looks like the month will come and go without a Bennifer sighting. Here are the last shots we have of Jennifer Lopez, in New York leaving Balthazar the other day. 

 

She’s been in New York for at least a month now, if not more. Perhaps one of those reasons is that she and Ben Affleck are selling their estate and, sure, she could live there while the home is on the market but that’s a lot of house to occupy for three people when you don’t intend to stay and also considering Ben Affleck’s already been living somewhere. 

Ben, by the way, has reportedly bought a new place in Brentwood for $20 million according to TMZ and the assumption is that it belongs to him, not them. Which means that she still needs to find her own place in Los Angeles. For now, though, she’s spending the summer on the East Coast. 

As for Ben, he hasn’t been papped in over a week and Deux Moi posted a sighting of him a couple of days ago in Osaka at Universal Studios. 

 

So far no photos, or at least no one has posted any photos of his trip. This reminds me though… 

JLo was also in Japan this year. It was back in February for the twins’ 16th birthday and then, you’ll recall, when she came back, she and Ben were all over each other after going out for lunch in Venice – you can see those pictures here. 

 

That was at the end of February, and the next month she started working on Kiss of the Spider Woman in New York but they were seen at the end of March with the cast of The Outsiders:

 

The rumours about their marriage popped up six weeks later, in May. So the month in question is April when they were both filming, she in NYC and he in LA, and whatever issues between them perhaps became magnified by the prolonged separation? It’s been such a quick unravelling and a slow and drawn out period of limbo. Maybe the idea here is that by the time there is anything official to report, it’s been such a foregone conclusion, it will hardly be news?
